Pulling Weeds vs. Planting Seeds: Staying Focused on Our Real Impact

It’s easy to get caught up in "pulling weeds"—addressing the lies, misconceptions, and disinformation that sometimes surround the hard work we do at BizLINC. But while those weeds may be pesky, they should never take our focus away from the seeds we've planted and the real growth that’s happening. We’ve made tremendous strides, and it’s time to celebrate the true impact we've had over the years.

At our recent Meet and Greet, the atmosphere was electric as businesses had the chance to connect, network, and share their personal journeys. City officials and community leaders joined us, witnessing firsthand the progress we've made together. It wasn’t just about shaking hands and exchanging business cards—it was about telling stories of growth, resilience, and triumph.

Over the last three years, BizLINC’s collective efforts have resulted in over $700,000 in revenue for our member businesses and the creation of more than 40 stable jobs. That’s 40 families with a steady income, 40 people contributing to the community, and 40 success stories that are still being written. But that’s not all—we have countless other stories of businesses overcoming challenges, finding their footing, and thriving in ways they never imagined.

By 2025, these numbers will only continue to grow. With over $700,000 in revenue and more jobs in the pipeline, BizLINC’s impact will be even greater, helping businesses not only survive but thrive in our city. We're not just growing businesses; we're building a network of support, empowerment, and economic development that will benefit everyone involved.

While addressing misconceptions and negativity is important, our focus should always remain on the seeds we’re planting—the real, tangible growth we’re fostering. The Meet and Greet was just one example of how we’re bringing people together to drive this mission forward, and it’s only the beginning.

Our journey continues, and the best is yet to come. Together, we’re building something truly special. Let’s not lose sight of the seeds we’ve planted as we continue to watch them grow.
